Creatures Series: #2, #3, #4

Please welcome "Shelley", "Zumurrud", and "Sabrina" to the Creatures Series, an ongoing collection for 2023.

It's important to me that each subject has an appropriate title for their attributes and setting and thus I go through great lengths to name them. Each creature is a strong female in her own regard. Zumurrud, number three, was named for her prominent emerald color: the meaning being emerald or precious stone, with Pakistani and Arabic origin. Her power is shown in the majestic mountains and her body taking the entire top half of the painting. She is so great that her whole body stretches the physical capability of the canvas.

Number two of this collection, "Shelley", has already found a home on Cape Cod. She will be transported within the following weeks to Sandwich, MA.

"Sabrina" is the fourth piece to this collection and she is just as special as the rest! This name is Latin for the River Severn, the longest river in Britain, and also has Celtic origin. She has a dark charm as most of her being is silhouetted in black, however, her pathalo color is highlighted by the sun. This piece is the first in the collection to feature five-pointed wings: a trait I plan on exploring with the water creatures.
